Axiology & Teleology
Axiology is the study of values and teleology is the study of purpose or the top value. This site is a snapshot into Jake's organization of values with a little personalty sprinkled in.
We all have a unique blueprint of values and when we are living congruently with our values life is an inspiring experience.
Jake organizes his values into two categories "diamond" and "novelty". The diamond values are the ones that appear most on his calendar in the day to day. The quality of the diamond refines the integrity of the telos. All of the diamond values are working together to serve the Telos. The novelty values help make the process an enjoyable one. The quest to flourish in 8 values is a challenging one and novelty sprinkle just enough play and fresh new activities to help make the impossible, possible.
It's typical for someone to be doing exceptionally well in their top one or two values while doing fairly well or struggling in others. Jake is dedicated to flourishing in his top value while building systems and integrating the wisdom required to flourish in all 8. This is a life long quest to be an example of success and failure in the pursuit of his spiritual mission. He will eventually share the all of core learnings, technologies tools and resources with others.

Appreciating the Sacred in Business
Sometime's you'll find Jake in a boardroom and sometimes you'll find him on a paddle board, either way it's a board meeting. Here is his philosophy: If we are going to dedicate the majority of our waking life to our calling and purpose it's wise to enjoy the process. Being in our most natural state in sacred environments and professional settings alike can bring out the best in all of us. Richard Branson was the first modern leader that Jake saw express his weird and authentic essence in a professional setting. After Sir Richard gave a speech at a fundraiser he walked by Jake to the washroom where he used the facilities with the door wide open. Jake glanced over and this made him laugh. Jake and Sir Richard had a fun chat about this together and they took a spontaneous selfie to send to a mutual friend because they knew it would bring him joy. It left an impression on Jake and gave him permission to be seen as professional, successful and also whole heartedly unique.
Telos and Vision
Jake has committed the next 30 years of his life to flourishing in the 8 areas of life outlined above.
His top value is his spiritual practice and path. With intention Jake integrates timeless wisdom teachings with modern mysticism pulling from the most integrous schools, texts and teachers so that he walks his unique path with nobility.
Jake's second highest value is typically business where he has an inspired vision that he is building for the next 30 years. This longitudinal approach to business requires more objectivity, clarity and commitment to the building blocks required to actualize the plan. Jake loves working with the best of the best as business partners, colleagues and collaborators who are technical geniuses, masterfully skilled operators and powerful leaders. Mahalo Global is truly a labor of love. At the moment Jake has moved wellness up to his second value for a time to support his vitality.
